Why galvanized pipe fails from the inside, years before a wall ever gets wet
Galvanized steel pipe is coated in zinc to slow rust, but that coating wears through from the inside with every gallon that passes through it. Once the zinc is gone, the bare steel underneath starts to corrode, and the rust builds up in layers along the inside wall of the pipe the same way scale builds up in a kettle.
That buildup narrows the pipe from the inside, which is why a house on galvanized lines so often has low water pressure, or none at all in a shower on the second floor, long before anyone sees a drip. By the time a leak actually shows up, the corrosion behind that wall has usually been narrowing the line for years already.

How a repipe is actually sequenced, from one bathroom to a whole house
A repipe does not mean tearing a house apart. We map the existing lines first, then run new PEX supply lines room by room, cutting into the drywall only where a new line has to pass through and patching back as we go rather than opening the whole house at once.
The scope is sized to what the house actually needs. Some homes only need a single bathroom repiped where the corrosion is worst, others need the whole house done in one pass. Either way, the work is scheduled and finished inside the window we quote, so you know before we start roughly how many days your water will be affected and when.

A recent job: a full home repipe against a second quote
Nicholas Belt got two quotes to have his house fully repiped with PEX. Ours came in $800 less than the other company's, and he said afterward it also had the best ratings of the two.
He kept the job local on top of the price, and said the crew showed up on time and finished the repairs within the time frame he was given. That is the standard we hold every full repipe to, not just the ones that happen to get written up in a review.
What the warranty actually covers after we leave
Every repipe we do with Uponor PEX carries Uponor's own 25-year manufacturer warranty on the pipe itself, on top of our 2-year guarantee on the labor that installed it. That is two separate promises: one on the material holding up for decades, one on the work that put it in your walls.
PEX also does not corrode the way galvanized steel does, so the pressure problems and rust-colored water that usually bring someone to call us in the first place do not come back once the new lines are in.
